Don’t just hire them…you can adopt them!

‘The Indierectory,’ Manila’s platform for advertising freelancers, recently launched its newest, limited-run platform called ‘The Pet Directory.’

Manila’s list of ad independents started featuring stray cats and dogs on its website, each with their own positions and contact details, similar to the entry of a freelancer.  Despite having been launched on April Fools’ Day,this was no prank!

It’s the first-ever pet directory where Arf Directors, Web Developurrs, Viddographers, Accounts Meownagers, and more can actually be ‘hired’ through the website!

Currently, there are 26 pets listed. Searchers can read up on their different traits and personalities on the website, too. This way, they can get to know each pet, and see if one is a purrfect match for them.

The Indierectory has partnered up with Hound Haven, an organization that cares for and rehabilitates retired working dogs, and DLSU PUSA (Professors for the Upliftment of Society’s Animals), an organization that cares mainly for the De La Salle University Manila campus’ cats. Each of the pets listed for adoption on The Pet Directory is currently under their care.

Website visitors may use the contact details provided on the site to connect with these two organizations. They will be available to assist those who wish to adopt the featured pets, or as they call them,‘furlancers.’ This project aims to help animals to ‘Work on finding their Forever Homes’ (WFH). So go check them out, because you just might find your next work-from-home companion!

And if you’re looking for hooman freelancers, don’t worry. Your go-to list of ad independents is still on the website. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you’ll find a button that leads you back to The Indierectory as you know it.

The Pet Directory will be available on indierectorymanila.com until April 30, 2021. Hire a furlancer today!
