In its endeavor to continue boosting the entrepreneurial spirit of its community members, SM Development Corporation (SMDC), in partnership with GoNegosyo, hosted a Start-up Boot Camp last May 28 at SMDC Grass Residences in Quezon City.
The whole day boot camp provided mentorship to resident entrepreneurs of SMDC.
At the height of the pandemic, a lot of stay-at-home entrepreneurs in SMDC communities started selling their products online. With its commitment to create thriving communities, the leading real estate developer initiated programs that would empower its resident entrepreneurs and open opportunities for them to grow their respective businesses.
During the boot camp, resident entrepreneurs were taught how they can further improve their business mindset and skills with the help of restaurateur, PJ Lanot. The events host and voice actor gave the residents a glimpse of his business journey and how his positive outlook helped him overcome challenges.
Meanwhile, Jerry Yao, known as GoNegosyo’s Marketing Sensei, gave an insightful talk on how marketing can drive growth and revenue. Yao discussed different methods of simplified marketing concepts, giving SMDC’s resident entrepreneurs a sustainable marketing direction for their enterprises.
“More than just providing us with business knowledge and skills, programs such as this keep us motivated and inspired to move forward and grow our business. I am very thankful for this opportunity that SMDC provided us,” shared by a participant of the boot camp.
SMDC’s Start-up Boot Camp is part of its The Good Guys Entrepreneurs Program. This Anvil-award winning initiative birthed several programs such as The Good Guys Weekend Market and The Good Guys Bazaar, which have given livelihood and have empowered more than 200 SMDC resident entrepreneurs.
