ChatGenie.PH, an end-to-end online store platform within Facebook Messenger, is now made available to GLife merchants through a partnership with GCash. Merchants within GLife can now use ChatGenie, allowing them to collect online orders and pay via GCash.

GLife is a super app feature that houses mini programs from multiple brands inside a customer’s GCash dashboard and lets them complete transactions and payments all within the platform. With the partnership, ChatGenie’s complete solution provides GLife merchants an additional sales channel inside GCash, their own content management system and dashboard to monitor their sales and customer data, and options to deliver via Grab and Lalamove.

With the belief that the most efficient e-commerce sales channel strategy is to sell on mobile apps that are already installed on customer’s mobile phones, ChatGenie is optimistic that merchants within the GLife Service will benefit most from the partnership.

“This partnership gives GLife merchants an integrated and holistic solution that will allow them to reach more customers. Through our platform, they can now easily launch multiple sales channels and online stores — whether on GCash or Facebook Messenger — apps that are already on their customers’ phones. This is one way for us to empower entrepreneurs with the convenience of offering their products where their customers already are,” says Ragde Falcis, Chief Executive Officer of ChatGenie.PH.

“We realized that the New Normal has brought about new challenges to traditional business models, and that the GCash ecosystem is the perfect solution for both businesses and customers. Through GLife and ChatGenie, partner merchants can easily expand their digital presence without the additional overhead of brick-and-mortar stores, while offering customers frictionless and convenient experiences,” said Martha Sazon, President and CEO of GCash.

GLife merchants span from food delivery to airfare purchase and online games. Currently, some of the live mini-programs in GLife include Globe Online Shop, Tiny Buds, and Manilachon.

With ChatGenie Pro Subscription, businesses will have a streamlined relationship with their customers, with the use of a single dashboard that can launch both mini app on Messenger and GLife.

Since the beginning of the lockdown in 2020, ChatGenie has launched over 1,500 mini-apps for merchants nationwide via Facebook Messenger.

“The ecommerce industry in the Philippines is projected to reach $12 billion by the year 2025. We want to help small businesses to take advantage of that huge opportunity by ensuring that they are where their customers are. ChatGenie and GLife are both committed to helping entrepreneurs and their businesses thrive, while transitioning from offline to online,” adds Falcis.
